Delete data
On this page you can request deletion of your personal data held by Datico Sport & Health GmbH – for the mobile app Datico® LIFE APP and for the Datico® LIFE HUB platform. You need neither the app nor a login to do so.
Who this page is for
- You use the Datico® LIFE APP and want to delete your app account.
- Your data – e.g. as an athlete, patient or study participant – is stored in the Datico® LIFE HUB of an organisation, such as your hospital, federation, performance centre or research institution.
If you are a Datico customer and want to close the area (tenant) of your entire organisation, please contact your Datico contact person. This is governed by your contract, not by this form.
Ways to request deletion
- In the Datico® LIFE APP: “Profile → Settings → Delete account”. This menu item opens this page with the deletion form.
- Here on the web: using the form below or by email to info@datico.com with the subject “Deletion request”.
- Directly with your organisation: for data in the Datico® LIFE HUB, you can also contact your organisation directly.
How deletion works
- We confirm receipt of your request by email to the address you provide. For an app account, this is the address you registered with. This ensures that only you can have your data deleted.
- App account: we delete your account and your sign-in data (name, email address, user ID).
- Data in the Datico® LIFE HUB: your organisation is the controller for this data; Datico processes it on its behalf. We forward your request to your organisation and carry out the deletion on its instructions.
- We inform you as soon as the deletion has been completed – within one month at the latest (Art. 12(3) GDPR).
Which data is deleted – and what may be kept
- Deleted: your app account and sign-in data as well as the data assigned to you in the Datico® LIFE HUB – e.g. measurement, health and performance data, data from connected devices and wearables, form and questionnaire entries.
- May be retained: data your organisation is legally required to keep – for example a hospital's treatment records (in Germany generally ten years, Section 630f German Civil Code). It is deleted once these periods have expired. Your organisation will inform you about this.
- Proof of deletion: we keep your deletion request itself for as long as necessary to document that it was handled properly.
