Polar × Datico®: Connect wearable data GDPR-compliantly – and make it intelligently usable
From the Polar Loop to the H10: connect Polar wearables in a GDPR-compliant way – on request directly, without the Polar cloud – and turn the data into an intelligent, study-ready foundation in the Datico® LIFE HUB. A joint webinar by Polar and Datico®.
Polar is one of the pioneers of heart rate measurement – from the Polar Loop for continuous everyday tracking, through its proven sports watches, to the Polar H10, which serves as a reference for heart rate and HRV measurement in many scientific studies. In clinical settings, research, corporate health management, or with emergency and defence forces, however, the classic use via Polar Flow as a consumer platform quickly reaches its limits: data sovereignty, GDPR compliance, and integration into professional systems – and above all when the raw data is meant to become more than a training overview.
This is exactly where this joint webinar by Polar and Datico® comes in. Sönke Steiner (Polar) and Markus Stadler (Datico®) show live the path from capture through to intelligent analysis – GDPR-compliant and in a form suited to studies, your own calculations, and your own applications.
1. Connect GDPR-compliantly – on request entirely without the Polar cloud. Datico® Wearable Connect offers two paths:
- Wearable Connect Cloud – builds on the Polar Flow Cloud and adds a controlled processing layer within the Datico® LIFE HUB (data processing agreement possible). Suited to corporate health management, scalable studies, and clinical applications with moderate requirements.
- Wearable Connect Bluetooth – captures data directly from the device via the Datico® LIFE APP, without the manufacturer cloud: full data sovereignty and real-time capture for studies with high regulatory requirements, research, and security-critical environments.
2. Turn measurements into an intelligent, study-ready data foundation. In the Datico® LIFE HUB, the Polar data is combined with additional sources and with questionnaires (Smart Forms) and made available in a structured, analysable form. On this basis you can build references and key figures (Reference Sets, Index Management), compare individual target and ideal profiles (IDOL), and store your own validated models (Model Repository) – all the way to export into scientific tools and BI systems or into your own applications.
This turns individual heart rate and HRV values into a reliable basis for analysis and decision-making – Health & Performance Intelligence, GDPR-compliant and in your hands.
Followed by time for your questions – to both Polar and Datico®.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Decision-makers in clinics, rehabilitation, and corporate health management, researchers at universities and in studies, sport scientists in elite sport, and those responsible in security-critical environments – anyone who wants to use Polar wearables in a GDPR-compliant and professional way.
