Data in Context

Reference Set Management

Every parameter. A clear assessment. Immediately communicable.

Every measurement needs context

A measurement value alone says very little. Meaning only emerges when compared with a reference range: Is a VO₂max value of 52 ml/kg/min good or bad? For a 60-year-old recreational runner it's excellent – for a 25-year-old elite endurance athlete it's clearly too low.

Reference Sets solve exactly that: they define a value scale with evaluation zones for every parameter – tailored to gender, age group, module or any other dimension relevant to your work. The system automatically assigns each measurement to the appropriate zone, making the assessment directly communicable.

Freely configurable – for every parameter

Reference Sets are configured per parameter. You choose the number and meaning of zones as well as the threshold values – based on normative literature, internal standards or device-specific specifications.

All parameters. Evaluated at a glance.

Reference Sets apply to every measurement: as soon as a value is recorded, the system automatically assigns it to the appropriate zone. The result is a structured overview – every parameter with value, unit and zone rating.

What Reference Set Management delivers

AUTOMATIC ASSIGNMENT

The system automatically identifies the appropriate reference set for every parameter – based on gender, age group and other defined dimensions.

MANAGEABLE LIBRARY

Manage any number of Reference Sets in a structured library – organised by parameters, modules or target groups. Duplicate, customise, version.

EVIDENCE-BASED

Store the source for every Reference Set – normative literature, internal studies, manufacturer specifications. Transparency and scientific traceability included.

CONSISTENT ACROSS ALL CHANNELS

Zone ratings appear identically in the Datico® LIFE APP, in the Health & Performance Workplace and in individual PDF reports.

LONGITUDINAL TRACKING

How has the parameter developed over multiple measurements? Which zone was it in at each appointment? Reference Sets make progress measurable.

FREELY NAMED

Zones, colours and labels are fully configurable. Medical vocabulary (Critical/Stable/Optimal) or athletic (Bronze/Silver/Gold) – you decide.
