One App. Two Capture Modes.
The Datico® LIFE APP is the mobile extension of the Datico® LIFE HUB. It closes the gap between the system and the person – directly at the training ground, in the clinic, in the lab, or in the field. Two functional areas are at the centre:
Event-Based Surveys via Smart Forms
Tenant-specific questionnaires are created in the Datico® LIFE HUB using Smart Forms – sport-, patient-, or study-related, fully individualised. The Datico® LIFE APP makes these questionnaires available on mobile and enables event-based data capture: after training, before a therapy session, at defined study time points.
Completed forms flow directly into the Datico® LIFE HUB – as structured data records, linked to the person, time point, and context.
Wearable Data Capture via Bluetooth
The Datico® LIFE APP acts as a Bluetooth gateway between compatible wearables and the Datico® LIFE HUB. Measurement data from sensors, sports watches, or medical wearables are captured directly via the smartphone and transmitted in real time – without separate hardware, without wired connectivity.
This mode complements Wearable Connect BLE and enables deployment wherever no stationary receiver is available: outdoors, at competitions, on wards, or in the field.
Use Cases
Where the Datico® LIFE APP Is Used
The app is designed so that questionnaires and wearable connectivity can be fully adapted to the respective context – from elite sport and rehabilitation to clinical trials.
Elite Sport
Daily wellness check before or after training – sleep quality, wellbeing, RPE, perceived stress. Complemented by BLE connection to a sports watch or HRV sensor. All data is automatically stored in the athlete profile.
Rehabilitation & Medicine
Patients complete wellbeing questionnaires directly after a therapy session – on their own smartphone or an institution device. Symptom diaries and follow-up questionnaires are automatically assigned to the treatment course.
Research & Studies
At defined measurement time points, participants automatically receive their study-related questionnaires – anonymised or pseudonymised, in accordance with the study protocol. BLE wearables capture physiological data in parallel.
Emergency Services
Daily readiness assessments directly on the smartphone – fast, discreet, location-independent. BLE sensors provide complementary physiological data. Aggregated results feed into the group dashboard.

EVENT-BASED TRIGGERING
Questionnaires are automatically made available at configured time points or after defined events – e.g. after a measurement or a therapy session.
MULTIMEDIA QUESTION TYPES
Scales, multiple choice, free text, image questions – Smart Forms supports all common question types, which are reproduced exactly via the LIFE APP.
BLUETOOTH WEARABLE CONNECTIVITY
Compatible BLE wearables and sensors are connected directly via the app. Measurement data is automatically assigned to the correct user profile and transmitted.
GDPR COMPLIANT
All data captured via the LIFE APP is transmitted encrypted and stored on German servers. Anonymisation and pseudonymisation according to study protocol are possible.
SEAMLESS INTEGRATION
Captured questionnaire data and wearable measurements appear immediately in the Datico® LIFE HUB – in dashboards, reports, and as input for scores and models.
