JFJ & Datico®: environmental simulation becomes part of a continuous data concept
With the integration of JFJ, Datico® expands its ecosystem to include a highly specialised provider of environmental simulation – and takes a consistent next step towards platform logic. Instead of merely connecting systems, a genuine functional unit emerges here: simulation, training and analysis interlock directly.
In doing so, JFJ uses the Datico® LIFE HUB not as a downstream system, but as the central instance for data management – integrated into its own application. This is precisely where the real progress of this partnership lies.
Simulation meets data context
JFJ develops systems that allow extreme environmental conditions to be reproduced realistically. Altitude chambers, pressure systems and climatic simulations are used in areas where strain must not be understood theoretically but experienced and measured in practice – for example in aviation, in a defence context, or in high-performance sport.
What was previously often separate – physical simulation and structured data evaluation – is brought together through the integration with Datico®. Each simulation is no longer just an isolated event, but part of an overarching data context in which individuals, sessions and organisational structures are already defined.
This creates a continuous data flow that not only reproduces the real exertion situation but makes it immediately evaluable.
Integration conceived from within the application
The decisive difference of this integration lies in its architecture. JFJ accesses the Datico® LIFE HUB directly from its own control software. Via the REST API, existing data structures are used and, at the same time, new data is written back into exactly this structure.
For users, this means: the entire interaction remains in one environment. Individuals are selected from the Datico® context, simulations are carried out, and all measured values are automatically stored in the correct context. There is no break between systems, no duplicate data storage and no additional administrative effort.
Data is not transferred in order to evaluate it later – from the outset, it is part of a system designed precisely for that purpose.
From system to platform
The integration of JFJ makes clear how the role of Datico® is changing. The platform no longer functions merely as a collection point for data from various sources, but actively becomes the foundation on which other applications build.
JFJ extends its own solution by using functions of the Datico® LIFE HUB directly. This does not result in a coexistence of technologies, but in a shared system composed of different components – connected by a central data logic.
